This position is responsible for local project procurement activities and execution from proposal input to supplier selection and project closeout. These activities will include, but not be limited to, commercial term negotiations, expediting, logistics, materials receiving and tracking, procurement planning, order closeout and reporting. Based in our Warsaw offices, our small Finance team is responsible for end-to-end accounting for two Emerson entities (in Poland and in Lithuania) as well as close cooperation with our Shared Service Centers and external vendors on an international scale. As a Chief Accountant, you would be monitoring all the accounting processes and acting as an expert in all tax-related matters
Supervising your team and allocating their tasks
Being fully responsible for statutory books and tax settlements (including signing of tax declarations)
Taking ownership of month-end-close processes
Cooperating with global shared service centers
Implementing system/process changes to adjust them to new accounting/tax rules
Monitoring the correctness, quality, and flow of accounting documents and accounting records
Generating financial reports and statements

Preparing and managing design documentation (hardware & software), FAT & SAT procedures under Lead Engineer (LE) supervision
Graphics design and configuration (static & dynamic) under LE supervision
Setup of internal engineering tools supporting system and logics configuration
Configuration I/Os database and basic control modules under LE supervision
Perform and document internal test acc. to the internal procedures
Participate or execute Hardware / Software FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) activates
Execute the I/Os and control loops checks on site
Participate in functional test / commissioning / start-up activities under LE supervision
Develop Personal and Professional competencies as well as knowledge about Emerson Products & Services
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor
Report regularly to the direct supervisor on market trends, competition strategies and customer behaviors which may affect the Emerson business strategies
Report on quotation & project potential through POR and other reporting mechanisms
Observe the “Business Ethics” stipulated by Emerson
Practice and promote the “Think Customer” culture in all aspects of the role
Ensure that all transactions are properly screened and recorded in accordance with the company’s Trade Compliance procedures and escalate any concerns or questions to the local Gatekeeper

Assist under supervision in several project phases - System Configuration, Application Programming, Internal Testing / Simulation, FAT, System Installation, I/O Checkout and Functional Testing

Lead the competitive exercise in compliance with the standards: ascertains if requisitions are complete and are in accordance with project documents, responsible for project proposal and execution stage, bid comparison, rationalization and analysis, price negotiations, payment terms and T&C’s, supplier recommendation for award to management
Generates purchase orders and purchase order amendments as required
Issue and expedites suppliers acknowledgement in conformance to agreed final Purchase Order
Expedites shipment and materials per project procedures and informs local office about status of shipment
Coordinates of interfaces between Proposal Group, Contract Administration Group and Project Management Group in order to ensure timely vendor purchase order raising
Maintains Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system data to ensure accuracy during the entire Procure-to-Pay cycle
Ad hoc reporting from business systems
Is active in processes and daily work improvements
Works with minimum supervision
Undertakes a remedial action in case of problems
Maintains and report procurement performance by project
