Obowiązki:
Drive the roadmap for our internal platforms related to Data, Analytics, Policy Admin, Reinsurance, Risk and related products
Balance our product’s medium and long-term roadmap with its backlog of issues and bugs
Execute against plans with engineering, design, and analytics by making trade-offs, anticipating staffing needs, risks, and ensuring frequent and clear communication
Collect and analyze feedback from our customers and key stakeholders to distill down into actionable requirements
Lead product development ceremonies (daily stand, sprint planning, backlog grooming, facilitate retros, and any architectural discussions)
Be an expert at prioritization
Manage internal and external stakeholder expectations and project scope throughout the delivery process. This includes building a roadmap with our leadership and operations team to help them deliver a first-in-class customer experience
Define OKRs, KPIs, product metrics and review data to come up with ways to improve and build new features
Underwrite new and renewal homeowners line of business in the US
Analyze risk information and make specific recommendations for additional actions such as inspections, loss prevention, etc
Address queries from other departments, such as claims, billing, and customer support. Act within your underwriting authority and escalate issues if necessary
Communicate effectively with various distribution partners and leadership to resolve underwriting matters
Recommend improvements to the underwriting process to underwrting managers and the technology counterparts
Establish, maintain and report metrics related to volume and quality of underwriting decisions
Ensure that all department processes comply with state laws and Department of Insurance regulations and align to company-specific strategies
Prepare comprehensive responses to requests from the state regulators and participate as company representative in meetings with external parties as necessary
Provide reporting and guidance to executive management on production
Participate and contribute insights to department and business unit level strategic planning
Develop, execute and ensure adherence to underwriting audits philosophies and procedures
Analyze market trends and competition practices and prices and keep management informed of any significant developments
Partner with engineering, actuary, claims and sales functions to evaluate, maintain and improve the quality of the underwriting process
Analyze risk inspections, information from insurance application and third-party data to select risk
Analyze claims and loss trends and implement strategies to mitigate risk
Respond to day-to-day requests related to overall risk appetite from sales and service parts of Hippo
Directly supervise, develop underwriting and producer support teams by providing coaching and counseling and performance reviews
Responsible for high-level administrative functions within the department which include performance evaluations of management staff, anticipation of staffing needs, performance management, the design and implement training programs for strategic growth
Provide technical guidance to underwriting, marketing and claims associates
You'll be architecting and implementing backends and their interactions with various data stores and other APIs (including 3rd party APIs)
You will be able to port code from our legacy system into service oriented architecture following Domain Driven Design
You will work in an agile environment focusing on projects that are impactful on our business
You'll support reliable databases and APIs for real-time automated decision-making
