- Location: 100% Remote. Must have 3-4 hours of overlap with the US/Eastern time zone
- Avatar Securities is looking for an experienced software engineer to work in a team that delivers valuable projects on a weekly basis. We are looking for someone confident building solutions on their own as well as in collaboration with the team. You will join a small team of successful and experienced data scientists/software engineers who have a significant amount of time working at and building startups. Ideal candidates are driven self-starters, care about writing good sustainable code, and thrive on interesting problems
- Responsibilities:
- * Implement reliable data-processing systems (i.e, Airflow)
- * Help to automate/improve existing back-office processes that run overnight
- * Deploy to production using Docker and AWS (we have existing infrastructure and DevOps support but you will need to be able to manage the projects you deploy)
- * Implement algorithmic trading strategies and related software infrastructure including data handling, backtesting, unit and integration tests, monitoring software, reporting etc
- * To smaller extent monitor deployments and implement improvements as required
