Responsible for efficient and accurate processing of a high volume of AP transactions in applicable technology systems in a timely manner

Communication with internal customers: business units, tax leaders and other sub-contracted support functions to resolve discrepancies, issues and queries for VAT related issues in a timely manner by escalating to the VAT Process Delivery Lead as required
Drive standardization, automation and process improvements to ensure VAT compliance, support development and recommendation of VAT operational processes and internal policies
Responsible for efficient and accurate processing of a high volume of AP transactions in applicable technology systems in a timely manner
Continuously monitor accounting and tax requirements in each country to ensure invoices are posted appropriately. This includes collaboration with Global Tax team and local finance and tax contacts
Make any necessary VAT or other corrections to ensure all errors are corrected on time
Analyze root cause of all corrections and implement corrective actions to reduce and minimize its volume
Ensure downpayments are reviewed back to contracts
Follow up on invoices referred back from end users to AP queue (in collaboration with Helpdesk team)
Support Helpdesk team with queries, if needed, that should be minimal activity
Assist and advise the Accounts Payable Team members in case of queries related to P2P process
Train new team members in Accounts Payables Team
Support Accounts Payable Team Lead in splitting daily tasks to the team members
Manage applicable technology systems and follow procedures for, performing month end activities to include GL and Sub-Ledger reconciliation for Accounts Payable
Assist P2P Process Manager, Global Process Owner (GPO) and Lead Associate(s) in identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives and best practices within Accounts Payable, Vendor Management and Invoice Processing
Ensure robust compliance environment with SOX, internal controls, accounting policies and procedures
Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities including completion of sub-ledger postings, reconciliations, sub-ledger lockdown, posting to GL, Fixed Assets accounting, Cash accounting and corporate submissions
Perform and support General Ledger (GL) journal entries postings, GL and cash account review, maintenance and analysis, GL master data change requests, reconciliations, foreign exchange adjustments and corporate required accounting
Support the execution of activities related to internal and external audit requirements
Provide periodic internal and external reports and support ad hoc data request from management or markets
Work closely markets and local accounting teams to resolve discrepancies, issues and queries for related accounting issues in a timely manner by escalating to the Lead Associate as required

Responsible for master data processing, management and ensuring data integrity and accuracy
Involved in financial master data, vendor, customer and intercompany
Coordinate between ERP and individual process data standards for in scope and third-party processes
Review and execute master data change requests from markets and functional SSC Associates in a timely manner
Work closely with functional SSC Associates to resolve master data related discrepancies, issues and queries in a timely manner by escalating to the Master Data Team Lead as required
Support master data projects and work with the Zoetis Business Technology team to build data requirements and governance frameworks for future IT projects

This position will report to the ICo Team Leader and will support the execution of General Accounting related activities
Initiate and record intercompany transactions (allocations, cross-changes, royalties, dividends, loans and interest) based on appropriate supporting documentation
Prepare or review monthly intercompany statements and agree to general ledger account detail
Reconcile intercompany accounts during month-end close and timely follow-up on all reconciling items
Work with the cash disbursement department to settle intercompany transactions and follow-up on unsettled account balances
Monitor the intercompany account balances, identifying, resolving, or escalating potential out-of-balance issues to R2R Process Delivery Lead in a timely manner
Assist ICo Team Leader to identify and implement process improvement initiatives and best practices
