The Publishing Coordinator supports across the global editorial team working with project teams to ensure that publication is timely and on budget, and that best practices are adhered to. This role plays an integral part in the publishing process and requires interaction with all departments and stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external
Key tasks:
• In collaboration with the Managing Editors and Publishing colleagues on any given project, maintain key information on company systems so that reports, briefs and other documentation are readily available for the team and management as required
• Archive course content and assets for assigned projects, taking receipt of open files directly from suppliers as scheduled
• Liaise with Customer Services to track and resolve customer queries
• Support on reprints & digital corrections
• Advance copies management
• Support the Workflow and Process Manager and Senior Managing Editors in making bulk updates to Project Schedules, Edflux records, Schedule Templates and Approval Forms

The Senior Publishing Coordinator will provide line management to the Publishing Coordinators, guide them on their tasks and be responsible for resource allocation. They will work with colleagues across the CPMO to ensure that all key administrative tasks happen smoothly and efficiently, that business systems data is up-to-date and feeding correctly. Working together with their team, they will contribute to the delivery of all projects on time, to brief and within budget
Objectives:
● To provide line management support to the Publishing Coordinators
● To manage the resourcing of the Publishing Coordinator team, assessing support requests, prioritising and allocating to your team
● Mentor line reports, helping them to prioritise workload, identifying areas for development/training and supporting them, setting meaningful objectives that are actively worked on and reviewed, providing constructive feedback and recognising achievements
● Provide direct and indirect support to the Publishing Coordinators’ day-to-day project work as needed and act as an escalation point for any problems
● To provide timely and effective support to the project teams, whilst adhering to best practice guidelines and ensuring accurate documentation
● To ensure that backlist reprint and digital corrections are actioned according to approved processes and in a timely manner

Project Budget management: track project expenses against the budget. Track and reallocate budget as required and, in case of any potential deviation, request the appropriate approvals as per policy. Also identify areas of potential savings/unused budget
