The AO grade FCLO Assistant will work under the supervision of an EO grade Country Based Staff office manager in the same mission and will be expected to provide essential administrative and logistical support to assist with the day-to-day office administration, including file management, data inputting and translation duties. The jobholder will need to demonstrate excellent organisation skills with a practical approach to multi-tasking and high attention to detail. Conduct office administration duties under the instructions of the Fiscal Crime Liaison Officer and EO grade Country Based Staff Assistant in accordance with policy and standard operating procedures; Duties include: records management; vehicle management; maintaining office accounts; maintenance of the asset register and gifts and hospitality register; planning travel and visits; and organising events
Provide language support to the FCLO as directed (both written and spoken), including for exchanges of information and at official meetings and events, by using their command of business and technical Polish (as a fluent speaker); this may require occasional attendance at events outside of normal working hours and travel to meetings with external stakeholders

Humanitarian is a new area of work for BE Warsaw following the war in Ukraine and the subsequent number of refugees that crossed into and remain in Poland (over 1 million have registered for a PESEL number). HMG has pledged a significant amount of humanitarian aid both to support refugees in Poland, and – in collaboration with the Government of Poland – to provide humanitarian relief in Ukraine. The funding is being managed centrally from the UK, however your role will be to support the implementation at Post. You will work closely with colleagues in London, as well as the Humanitarian Adviser and regional Humanitarian Affairs Officer, to ensure that the funding is being spent correctly and is producing high quality outputs that meet humanitarian objectives.
