As part of a Financial Accounting shared service organization, you will report to the EMEA accounting director with a dotted line to accounting supervisor and work closely with other members of the team based in Europe on a day to day basis
The successful candidate will be carrying out tasks in the below areas:
Providing accounting support to a number of European entities which will involves:
• Prepare and enter monthly journals (involving US GAAP close) in SAP HANA (eg. accruals, IC transactions, payroll, cost re-classes etc)
• Prepare/review accounting data to post; cooperation with FP&A, global accounting and tax departments while collecting necessary details (eg. calculation of IC invoices, Interests, preparation and tracking the schedules of cost amort, accruals etc)

• Provide support on the preparation and filing of EMEA entities: VAT, CIT (local GAAP vs US GAAP analyzes may be required)
• Ensure the appropriate control environment and supporting documentation required by corporate policies and SOX standards

As part of a EMEA Accounting shared service organisation you will report to the Sabre EMEA Accounting Manager (based in Krakow Poland) and you will work closely with other members of Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Management and Tax teams based in Europe as well as Global Accounting located in Dallas (US)
You will provide daily support to EMEA accounting team located in Krakow (Poland), Richmond (UK), Frankfurt (Germany), Rome (Italy) and other various locations across Sabre
The successful candidate will carry out tasks in 4 key areas:
Month end close:
• Calculate various accruals for senior accountant review
• Prepare prepayment and amortisation schedules
• Prepare re-classification and cost allocation journals
• Update month end close reports and assist in analysis of month end close balances and variances
• Prepare and set up recurring journals in SAP
• Prepare intercompany journals and ensure out of balances are resolved
• Analyse Vendor report and prepare month end close AP accrual
• Post salary journals provided by payroll team
• Record approved journals in SAP and attach SOX compliant back up
Other Monthly Tasks:
• Analyse Intercompany transactions and prepare I/C settlement files
• Prepare Balance sheet Account Reconciliations in line with Sabre Policy
• Prepare and support submission of VAT returns
• Reconcile and clear VAT accounts
• Support calculations of Cost Plus invoices in line with transfer price agreements
Statutory accounting:
• Support senior accountant in delivery of statutory audits for number of EMEA entities
• Work with local external accounting and Audit partners to provide required accounting documentation
• Assist in preparation of ETB files for the audits
• Prepare statutory adjustments files
• Assist in the reconciliation of ETB, SAP and Financial Statements
Compliance:
