Our company is in search of an experienced Chief Accountant to supervise and validate our financial transactions and overall accounting activities. This role involves duties such as comparing account balances and bank statements, managing the general ledger, and carrying out month-end closing procedures. A proficient Senior Accountant should possess strong analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles to scrutinize financial reports and projections
Chief Accountant responsibilities include:
-Verify, allocate, record, and reconcile accounts receivable and payable
-Generate accurate accounting reports and present their findings without errors
-Analyze financial data and provide a summary of the financial status
-Identify errors and suggest ways to increase efficiency and reduce expenses
-Review and suggest modifications to accounting processes and procedures
-Manage the work of accounting assistants and bookkeepers
-Take part in establishing financial standards and the forecasting process
-Offer input for the department's goal-setting process
-Prepare financial statements and budgets on schedule
-Assist with tax audits and the preparation of tax returns
-Support the month-end and year-end closing process
